There have been a lot of articles pointing out the benefits of drinking coffee, and there are also some that warn people of its harmful effects and risks. Coffee has been such a polarizing topic for some time, so it's best to set the record straight.

The answer is a resounding YES! When you check the body of research that's been done over the past years, most of the scientific results can confirm that drinking a couple of cups of coffee a day won't cause any major health risks. In fact, it can even fight inflammation and help protect against chronic diseases.

Ways to drink coffee as part of a healthy lifestyle

Consider these things to ensure that your coffee drinking is aligned with a healthy lifestyle.

1. Make sure that you're not drinking coffee while masking any bad habits you have. For instance, if you're only getting around three hours of sleep every day and you have no energy during the day, drinking coffee non-stop is definitely a problem.

2. Are you drinking the right kind of coffee? Be careful with the products you're buying and putting inside your body. Ensure that the coffee beans are organically grown and they're free from chemical or pesticide residues.

3. Drinking too much coffee can mess up your sleep and digestion so make sure that you're not going overboard with your caffeine intake. According to research, four eight-ounce cups of coffee per day should be okay.

Keep in mind that while coffee has been proven to offer some really amazing benefits, you should ultimately be responsible for controlling your caffeine intake.
