Everybody loves the warm and fuzzy feeling that Christmas brings — unless of course you're Grinch. Being with family, celebrating with friends, going to awesome parties: no wonder it's the season of joy!
There are just so many things to love about the holidays, even the smell of the air. Doesn't it feel like there is a certain aroma pervading every space in the world during Christmastime? If you want to keep your home smelling like Christmas, here's how you can make your very own Christmas spray.
What you'll need
- 2 oz distilled water
- 1/2 oz witch hazel (or 3 teaspoons) or 1/4 teaspoon Epsom salt
- 4 oz bottle
- Essential oils of your choice
Oil blends that you can try
There is a wide array of essential oil blends that you can try for your Christmas spray. Check out our guide below and we're sure you can find something that suits your taste.
What you need to do
Making your own Christmas spray is very simple. All you need to do is mix all the ingredients in a bowl or directly in the bottle.
Here's a tip, though. Witch hazel keeps the essential oils emulsified in the water, so this ingredient is very important. If you don't have witch hazel, you can use Epsom salt instead. Add the salt to your essential oils and make sure to shake well so that the oils are distributed throughout the salt. Finally, add distilled water.
If you don't have either witch hazel or Epsom salt, you can just leave them out. However, you need to ensure that you shake the room spray well each time before using it.
