Winter Wellness: How to Make an Overnight Facial Moisturizer

Keeping a healthy and glowing skin doesn't mean spending exorbitant amounts for a variety of skin care products, which may or may not work for you. Unfortunately, finding a product that matches your skin can be a hit or miss — either a toner dries out your skin, a moisturizer makes you oily, or a facial wash results in breakouts.

It can be very wasteful in the long run, don't you think? Good thing, essential oils works as skin care products too. Using different oils, you can create your wash, toner, and moisturizer.

Check out our awesome recipe for an overnight facial moisturizer.

You only need a few ingredients to come up with a homemade facial moisturizer

Combine all of the ingredients in a large jar or divide evenly between six dropper bottles. If you are using dropper bottles as containers, you can use this recipe for each dropper bottle instead:

  • 4 teaspoons almond oil
  • 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 10 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
  • 10 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Make sure to store the finished product in a cool place.

Place a few drops on your palm and apply generously on your face and neck. Make sure that you have washed your skin prior to applying the moisturizer.

Did you know?

Frankincense is known for its earthy, balsamic aroma. It also has a broad range of uses; in fact, it can help minimize blemishes and add a healthy glow to your skin. Meanwhile, Lavender also has a variety of uses, but its scent has sweet, floral notes.

Tea Tree is a popular ingredient in skin care products too. It reduces the appearance of blemishes, and it can also do wonders for your hair and scalp.
